Amanda Smith - Owner
The passion that Amanda has for food and entertaining comes through in every event that she does.
After graduating from Cornell University’s school of Hotel Administration, Amanda went to work for the Mandarin Oriental's great Hotels in Bangkok, Singapore, and Hong Kong where she immersed herself in Southeast Asian culture and cuisine. After which she lived in South Africa and Mexico before enjoying a five year stint in Europe where she spent the last part visiting the markets of the City of Lights and co–writing “Paris in a Basket” (ed. Konemann 2000). In 2002, she started Amanda Smith Caterers in New York and expanded to Connecticut in 2012.
Amanda works closely with her clients to make their events exactly how they want them and is known for her calm demeanor and efficiency. With a solid group of chefs, servers, and event coordinators, Amanda will make sure that your event is seamless and memorable.
Amanda has one daughter, Maruca Scarlett.
Federico Perez - Executive Chef
As the executive chef, Federico works closely with Amanda creating the menus but also perfects them for the client. With more than 20 years experience in the catering and restaurant business as well as years as a butcher and fishmonger, Federico knows his products and is a perfectionist in handling them. In addition, he runs a tight ship with a loyal team behind him.
Federico is married and has three children.
